Recipe of the Month: Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • Additional granulated sugar
  • Approximately 26 Hershey's Kisses, unwrapped


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, beat/mix granulated sugar, brown sugar, peanut butter, butter and egg until well blended.
  3. Stir in flour, baking soda, and baking powder
  4. Shape dough into 1 inch balls; roll in additional sugar
  5. Place about 2 inches apartment on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  6. Back for 8-10 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
  7. Remove from oven and immediately press chocolate candy in center of each cookie.
  8. Cool cookies on cooling rack.
