• 4 medium tart cooking apples, sliced (4 cups)<\/li>\n
• 3\/4 cup packed brown sugar<\/li>\n
• 1\/2 cup all-purpose flour<\/li>\n
• 1\/2 cup old-fashioned oats<\/li>\n
• 1\/3 cup butter, softened<\/li>\n
• 1 tsp ground cinnamon<\/li>\n
• 1\/2 tsp ground nutmeg Cream or ice cream, if desired<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Directions<\/h2>\n

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.<\/li>\n
  2. Grease bottoms and sides of 8-inch square pan.Spread apples in pan.<\/li>\n
  3. In medium bowl, stir remaining ingredients except cream until well mixed; sprinkle over apples.<\/li>\n
  4. Bake about 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown and apples are tender when pierced with a fork.<\/li>\n
  5. Serve warm with cream or ice cream.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
